Lightbulb

Do you know how a light bulb works? The classic bulb? A thin, current-conducting fiber begins to glow and emit light as a result of current flowing through it. In order to prevent this filament from burning out immediately, it is necessary to place that filament in a special environment. In the case of the bulb, this environment is a kind of gas. That is why it is necessary to surround the filament with a glass shield.

It's no coincidence that when someone has a great idea, you symbolize it with a light bulb that lights up. What you don't usually depict is when one of these ideas dies, doesn't materialize, the light bulb doesn't light up. In what cases can this happen?

The filament, if it is made of the wrong material, will not start to glow. For example, if the resistance in it is too high, it simply won't start to glow, if the resistance in it is too small, then it will burn out immediately due to a small current surge. Finding the right outfit is no small task, especially if this alloy, just as the human mind is constantly changing, sometimes has a little more resistance, and sometimes less, according to its beliefs.

The light bulb will also not light up if there is no current flowing through this material. The amount of current required for which material is also highly variable. If there is too little current flowing through the material, it will not start to glow, if there is too much, the bulb will burn out.

The third very important component is the environment surrounding this substance. The alloy of the material may be appropriate, the amount of current may be appropriate, but if the environment, the gas surrounding it, is not appropriate, then unfortunately the light bulb will not have a long life or will not be able to glow. The gas - that is, the environment - can stifle ideas, or it can lead the idea astray, causing it to burn out, which can be equated to calling it a useless idea.

What might be an interesting discovery for you is that all three components are in the hands of the given person, all three components can be manipulated by him. In the same way that Thomas Edison invented the long-lasting light bulb after countless bad, non-working experiments, it is also the task of people to find those parameters through persistent work. with which their idea can survive and shine in the long term.

Unfortunately, the long, long hours, days, weeks, months and years spent refining these parameters are often left out of your books, documentaries, and reports about famous people.

It is easy to label these scientists and inventors, who were eventually considered successful, with the label of "genius" and to ignore the seemingly endless series of attempts that they also went through. In addition, it is also true that although these long attempts are prerequisites for success, success is not guaranteed at all.

It is very important that you decide for yourself what you really consider success. The surest way to do this is to always try, no matter how hard you try, always follow the formula, so that every day you feel that your enthusiasm is driving you, that you are doing what you want to do, and you only do it as much as you want. In this way, no matter what your creation is, you will always look back with a good feeling, because you know how many happy moments it brought you.

Let this be today's lesson.
