Paprika

Imagine a red, swollen pepper. Imagine cutting it into slices. Imagine seeing the inside, the seeds. Imagine tasting this pepper. Feel its texture between your teeth. Let your taste buds experience it. As you swallow, think of the many nutrients and vitamins entering your stomach. Imagine how you start to break down the pepper into its elements in your stomach. Imagine that those many elements all escape somewhere inside your body, and then they are either used or emptied.

Try to observe this entire process as if you were observing yourself from the outside throughout the process. So when you see the pepper, think about the impression it might make on the person you are observing (which is yourself). Think about how the act of slicing a pepper can make that person feel.

If you continue this process like this, you will notice the difference between the two types of observation. This second and last one is self-reflection, which seems strange at first, but is a very useful activity and skill at the same time.

You can often see a situation more fully if you abstract away from being you and try to see yourself as an external entity. If you start practicing this kind of self-reflection from time to time (even every day), you will learn to take your life - in a good way - less seriously. You learn that the way you are able to look at yourself is similar to how you normally look at others.

By doing this, you start a process, as a result of which the importance of yourself decreases for yourself, while the importance of others increases proportionally. By following this path, you will not only be more accepting and understanding with yourself, but because you will also treat others as very similar to you, you will also be kinder, more understanding and more accepting of others. You will learn that life is a team game, everyone is really related to everyone and affects each other, and you will feel truly successful when you humbly become a master of this team game.

The everyday visible result of this is, for example, that you are happy to help anyone if you can, and you don't feel uncomfortable when you have to ask others for help. Your current reality is very fortunate in that you can ask for help from a lot of people with the help of the tool you consider valuable, money, but you can also give many people the opportunity to ask for help from you. Don't be ashamed to offer your knowledge to others, and don't be ashamed if you need other people's knowledge. If you learn to treat the related financial transaction completely neutrally, you will be able to discover very interesting things about the world, the people around you, and especially about yourself.
